Fusion Arts Exhibition – Everything Abstract
I am excited that my photograph “Canoes Abstract” won an honorable mention in the “Everything Abstract” exhibition.
The image, a vibrant color abstract photograph titled “Canoes Abstract,” draws the viewer to the shores of Lake Titicaca in Peru. What is captured is not a grand vista, but a textured glimpse into the lives of those who navigate these sacred waters. The frame is filled entirely with the undersides of canoes, their usually bright, painted exteriors now turned upwards, revealing a tapestry of wear and resilience. Each hull tells a story of countless journeys, the once-vivid colors softened and faded by the relentless sun and the gentle lapping of the high-altitude lake.
The cracked paint and the subtle scuffs and scrapes are not imperfections, but the authentic marks of a life lived in harmony with nature, a testament to the enduring spirit of the people and their connection to this extraordinary place.
I am also thrilled that my photograph “Flight 55 Bel Air” was a finalist in the “Everything Abstract” exhibition.
“Flight 55 Bel Air” is a vibrant explosion of pure, unadulterated Americana. A tightly cropped color photograph focusesed on the hood of a gleaming red 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air. The paint, a deep, lustrous Cherry Red, seems to absorb and refract the very essence of nostalgia, radiating a warm, inviting glow. The immaculately polished chrome Chevy “Jet Bird” catches the light, a beacon of mid-century automotive excellence.
